Why am I tired all the time?
Persistent tiredness most often comes from a mix of poor or disrupted sleep, stress, low mood, and medical causes such as anemia, thyroid problems, sleep apnea, or nutrient deficiencies. If it lasts more than a few weeks or affects your daily life, it's worth getting checked.
When tiredness needs prompt attention?
Seek urgent care if fatigue comes with chest pain, shortness of breath, fainting, sudden weakness, confusion, or thoughts of harming yourself. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

Your cells make energy in mitochondria, using nutrients and coenzymes like B vitamins, iron and NAD+. Whether changing any one of these helps with fatigue isn't established, so finding the underlying cause comes first.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Jack fatigue assessment?
It’s an online review of your symptoms, sleep, health history and medications by a licensed Canadian clinician. The goal is to help work out why you’re tired and what to do next.
Who reviews my answers?
A clinician licensed to practise in your province reviews them.
What happens after I submit?
The clinician may follow up with questions, recommend blood work, or suggest other next steps. You’ll get a clear explanation of what they found.
Will I need blood tests?
Not always. If your clinician recommends them, you’ll receive a requisition to get them done at a partner lab.
Can this replace my family doctor?
No. It’s a convenient starting point that can complement your regular care. Some symptoms need an in-person exam, and your clinician will tell you if that’s the case.
What does it cost, and is it covered by insurance?
Coverage depends on your plan, so check with your insurer.
Is my information private?
Yes. Your information is stored securely and shared only as described in our Privacy Policy.
